"I'm sorry for looking at you only. I guess I really can't do anything about it."
Artist: Super Junior
Song: Sorry Sorry Answer
Nationality: Korean
Genre: R&B / Rap
Summary: A song about feeling sorry for loving someone too much
My Opinion: I already replayed this version like crazy when the fancams and Youngjin version were released over the summer. But the new second half of the song and the classy music video made me fall in love with it all over again. "Sorry Sorry" was such an addictive track but this R&B version is mind-blowing. I'm so proud Super Junior (well at least K.R.Y.) gets to show off how much talent they have. Youngjin has an amazing voice and everything but I didn't like that they left his voice in this. Sungmin or Donghae definitely could have filled in his parts. I've heard them both sing r&b songs before and I honestly think they could have done a pretty good job. It irritates me that SM didn't think any other SuJu members were worthy enough to sing those few lines. What message does that send to those who antis who criticize the group's singing ability? I just don't get it. However, the EunHae rap at the end made me melt into a puddle of happiness so I sort of forgot my disappointment. Guh, their sexy manly voices just killed me! Also, the video is really aesthetically beautiful with its minimalism and smoke-on-black-background effects. It still shocks me sometimes that this is the same group who did "Pajama Party". LOL. But that's half their charm. They can be goofy and funny but still pull off serious sophistication when needed. The concept for this whole third album has really brought out their sexiness and maturity. Though the end scene where they were drinking champagne didn't feel right to me. You can totally see how forced their smiles and laughter were, especially Heechul who didn't even bother faking it. The hole left by Kangin and Kibum has sucked the happiness out of the group and it hurt me to see it so blatantly written on their faces. I really hope they can get through this mess and become a better group as a result of it. Sorry Sorry for ending on a depressing note! I definitely recommend this beautiful song and video :D
